MIAMI MOANS: LIFE IN THE WAR ZONE: BIRX WARNS MIAMI IN TROUBLE

Yes, Miami is getting as yet another dubious distinction from the powers that be with respect to Covid 19!

This time its from Dr. Deborah Birx, one of the honchos of the White House Coronavirus Task force.

Miami has joined a list of other United States cities in which the virus is out of control and those in charge have to DO SOMETHING before it gets worse.

In a nutshell, during a private phone call Birx warned Miami and 10 other cities that they should take "aggressive" steps to mitigate the Covid outbreaks.  Some of this information comes from an article published by The Center for Public Integrity. 

Not sure why it takes a brainiac to figure out that if a city increases the number of positive cases, it means that the community does not have a handle on the situation.

DUH???  

Miami and the surrounding area is an absolute mess and getting worse. We've got curfews, oddball restaurant closures, a mandatory mask order in the City of Miami. The City of Miami Beach is kicking around the notion of changing the area's party atmosphere by morphing it more into a cultural center. The logic is that bars could close earlier, preventing the growth of party-goers strolling the Deco District out of their minds on who knows what. 

It might make Miami Beach a place where families might want to gather -- much like they used to when I was a kid. My parents took us there and we had some pleasant days, because thankfully the place wasn't packed with people puking and fighting with each other. 

But before that happens the virus has to be corralled, Miami and the other ten cities best take heed. Birx is right, that has to happen before the population splits to live elsewhere or DROPS DEAD.

Yeah, drops dead. Think about that. 

The information about Miami was released during a telephone call - unclear as to who was invited to attend. Other cities involved in this scenario in addition to Miami were Baltimore, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and St. Louis. 

Again, pay attention, people, and wear the damn masks.
